Paris Attacks: ’Daesh Landlord’ Sentenced to 4 Years for Harboring Jihadists

The lodger of Daesh, Jawad Bendaoud, has just been sentenced to 4 years in prison for having housed two jihadists from the November 2015 attacks in France.
Last Wednesday, Jawad Bendaoud had been sentenced to one year in prison for threatening to kill one of the victims of the Bataclan, this within the precincts of the courthouse. This Friday, he has just been sentenced to four more years in prison.
Jawad Bendaoud was prosecuted for "receiving terrorist criminals" and had, in the first instance, been acquitted, in February 2018 precisely. During the appeal trial, since December, the public prosecutor’s office had requested five years in prison against him. It will ultimately be a conviction to 4 years in prison.
The Franco-Moroccan has always claimed his innocence. However, when the verdict was handed down, he remained very calm, just shaking his head slightly.
As Le Parisien points out: "Jawad Bendaoud had housed the terrorists, their alleged mastermind Abdelhamid Abaaoud and his accomplice Chakib Akrouh, who had taken refuge in Saint-Denis after the attacks. Since that famous surreal interview in front of the BFM TV cameras during the Raid operation on November 18, Jawad Bendaoud has always claimed his innocence, claiming he did not know they were the perpetrators of the attacks or even jihadists".
Jawad Bendaoud is also banned from his civil rights for five years and will have to compensate many civil parties, including victims of the attacks, for damages.
