Outrage in Morocco as Video Shows Woman Urging Dog to Kill Kitten

A video of a case of animal abuse showing a young girl who encouraged her dog to kill a kitten, is causing outrage among Moroccan internet users. They have called for legal action.
The incident occurred last Wednesday in Fez, where a young woman deliberately brought a small kitten for her dog, urging it to attack it. The cat was tortured and mistreated before dying.
In the video she shared on Instagram, she is heard addressing her dog saying: "It’s ugly, you don’t want it, do you? I don’t want it either, I don’t like it." Then we see the small lifeless animal dragged by the neck by her dog. "You killed it, you don’t know where to start (to eat the kitten)?" she says.
Following this act of cruelty, the hashtag "Prison for the cat killer" has been widely spread on social media in the last two days and many internet users have called for the woman to be prosecuted.
"When will we start enforcing the law against those who torture animals?" wondered an internet user on Twitter. The Moroccan Penal Code punishes "anyone who, without necessity, kills or mutilates [...] any domestic animal" with a prison sentence of two to six months. For now, no reaction from the authorities has been recorded regarding this case.
