The preservation of mutton meat is a headache for many Moroccans after the Aïd Al-Adha festival. On its website and Facebook page, the National Office of Sanitary Food Safety (ONSSA) offers a video that provides information on the subject.
Eating healthy, especially during this period marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, is of paramount importance. Thus, in the ONSSA video, it was advised to let the carcass rest for 5 hours after slaughter. Then the meat must be cut, placed in freezer bags before being stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of less than 18 degrees.
