In response, the administration has toughened its stance by blocking the issuance of building permits in the sample concerned. The granting of compliance certificates and occupancy permits is also suspended to compel offenders to regularize their situation. The municipalities, including that of Bouskoura, have received firm instructions to apply the law without concession.
