Notorious Speed Demon 'Adil.gofast' Released: Moroccan Influencer Faces 17-Year Driving Ban After 250 km/h Stunts

Arrested last weekend, Adil B.H alias adil.gofast, a famous Moroccan influencer, who filmed himself driving supercars at over 250 km/h, regained his freedom on Monday. But he will still have to answer for offenses related to the sequences he posted on his social networks, as well as his repeated provocations towards the Belgian justice system in his videos.

Adil.gofast is now free to move around. He had been apprehended during the night from Saturday to Sunday during a traffic check in Brussels. While the agents temporarily deprived him of his freedom, it was because they wanted to check if he was not the subject of an outstanding detention order. His release, which took place on Monday, is justified by the fact that he was not behind the wheel at the time of the intervention.

The influencer is well known to the police services, particularly because he appears in videos published on social networks showing him driving at dizzying speeds in the streets of the capital. These videos have also elicited a reaction from the Brussels public prosecutor’s office, which had opened an investigation in May 2023. After analyzing his Instagram account, it was revealed that Adil B.H. had rented more than 70 luxury sports cars, registered in different countries, such as Germany and Poland, and that he was filming himself at over 250 km/h and performing dangerous overtaking maneuvers.

Arrested in December 2023, adil.gofast was placed under arrest warrant. He was released under conditions after spending two weeks behind bars in the Haren prison. Last May, he was given three 5-year driving bans, two 1-year driving bans and one 6-month driving ban, for a total license revocation of 17.5 years. He was also fined 25,600 euros and will have to retake all his driving tests.

These sanctions have not, however, dampened his ardor: the young Moroccan continues to post videos followed by thousands of Internet users, in which he can be seen driving at very high speeds in inappropriate places. For these offenses, he is likely to face the Belgian justice system again. He is indeed expected to appear before the police court very soon. He "will still have to answer for offenses related to the sequences he posted on his social networks, as well as his repeated provocations towards the justice system in his videos," says La Dernière Heure.
