Normandy Quintet Embarks on 4,500 km Eco-Journey to Morocco by Pedal Car

With a rosalie, five young Normans are setting out from Avranches (Manche) on a journey to Morocco to promote slow travel, pick up litter and surf.
Jean Lefouler, 27, Lucas Heudes, 27, Baptiste Mary, 27, Jimmy Legaye and Nolan Loro, 26, have chosen to leave Avranches (Manche) for Essaouira (Morocco) on board a rosalie on September 10, 2022. A project they have initiated to promote eco-friendly travel as well as slowtrip, reports Actu.fr. The five friends will cover 4,500 km in a rosalie over six months. They have already defined their itinerary: follow the French coasts, go down through Portugal and then cross the Strait of Gibraltar. They plan to take a ferry for the crossing.
The group explains that they chose the rosalie because this vehicle adds a sharing of the effort. "It also allows us to bring more equipment." They bought it near Bordeaux for 1,500 €. The adventurers plan to install a roof to place their surfboards. "We are moving on to the next step: finishing the roof and installing the solar panel from myshopsolaire! Our car is starting to take shape and we can’t wait to get there!" can be read on the Facebook page of their association, Les Frênéthiques.
These young Normans are counting on the contribution of goodwill people to carry out this project. In this sense, they have launched a kitty on Leetchi. "Our legs are not about to give in to these thousands of kilometers. Our daring and our thirst for self-transcendence will allow us to reach our final destination," Lucas is convinced.
