Neymar Sidelined: Al-Hilal to Replace Injured Star for 2023/2024 Season

Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou is about to lose his teammate Neymar. Al-Hilal will recruit a foreign player to replace the Brazilian, whom it intends to sideline from the pitch for the entire 2023/2024 season due to his injuries.
The jinx continues for Neymar. He was injured on October 17 following the match against Uruguay with Brazil - which ended in a defeat for the Brazilians (2-0) - as part of the World Cup qualifiers. Neymar tore the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee. Injuries from which he has not fully recovered, and which will keep him away from the pitches for a long time. Al-Hilal has indeed decided to remove the former PSG star from the list of available players from this winter, reports the Saudi media Arriyadiyah. It is not excluded that the club will recruit another foreign player in the left-back position to replace the Brazilian.
Neymar may no longer join the Al-Hilal squad, as the number of foreign players is limited to eight places in each club in Saudi Arabia. A number that the club has already reached after recruiting Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Brazilians Malcolm and Michael, as well as Neymar. In addition, the 31-year-old player opted for an operation in Brazil and rehabilitation also in his country, contrary to the opinion of the Riyadh club.
Arrived at Al-Hilal from PSG as part of a 90 million euro deal, Neymar could see his adventure end because of injuries. Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou alias Bono would de facto lose his teammate.
