Namibia Coach Praises Morocco’s Strength, Tips ’Atlas Lions’ as CAN Favorites

At the end of the match that pitted the Moroccan national team against its Namibian counterpart, for the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), the coach of the Namibia team declared that the "Atlas Lions" were stronger in terms of professionalism and technique.
Ricardo Manetti added that his team deserved the draw, while specifying: "The result was frustrating, as we didn’t manage to recover a precious point for the rest of the competition". The coach said that Namibia would have its say in the next two matches.
Manetti acknowledged having faced a strong and organized team, which has a bench as efficient as the starters. The "Atlas Lions" have "a high strength and endurance. I believe they are capable of reaching the final and even winning the Cup," he stressed.
The Namibia coach was very satisfied with the performance of his players, despite the defeat against Morocco. They need more experience and competitions, knowing that the majority of them play in a local championship, he said.
