Muslim Theological Council Sets Eid al-Adha Date for France in 2023

Based on "the most accurate scientific data", the Muslim Theological Council of France (CTMF) announced on Saturday the date of Eid al-Adha 1444/2023.
"Taking into account the most accurate scientific data [...], the conjunction (new moon) will take place, inchaAllah, on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at 4:37 GMT (6:37 Paris time). The new crescent moon will be visible, inchaAllah, on the same day at 6:36 pm GMT (8:36 pm Paris time)," the CTMF states. Based on these elements, the body informs that "the first day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah will be, inchaAllah, Monday, June 19, 2023" and that the Feast of Sacrifice is set for the tenth day of the sacred month, that is, Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
Saudi Arabia will announce the dates of the Hajj and Eid al-Adha in the coming days, based on data derived from sky observations at the end of the previous month of Dhul-Qida preceding the pilgrimage to Mecca.
