Muslim Activist’s Home Ransacked in Targeted Burglary, Racist Message Left Behind

Marwan Muhammad, former executive director of the Collective against Islamophobia in France (CCIF), was the victim of a burglary. On his Facebook account, he publishes images showing the extent of the damage.
In these images, we see completely devastated rooms and a vandalized wall bearing the following message: "N**** your grandmother." "Our home, completely ransacked. They took everything they could. Then they broke the rest. It’s not even the loss of money or the time it will take to repair that disgusts me. It’s the children’s things turned over..." laments Marwan Muhammad.
Is this burglary related to the consultation that the founder of the association "Les Musulmans" had launched, in order to better represent the Muslim community in France? This consultation, Marwan Muhammad had launched through an op-ed published by Le Monde. An op-ed that followed a statement by President Emmanuel Macron. The latter intends to "lay the foundations for the entire organization of Islam in France" before the end of the first half of the year.
Marwan Muhammad notes that "after several generations, Muslims still do not have a representative body, of national scope, that is up to the challenges of our time." According to Le Figaro, the former executive director of the Collective against Islamophobia in France spoke of a "total paralysis" and an "non-existent debate."
