Music Teachers Face Trial for Alleged Child Sacrifice Plot in Morocco

A couple of music teachers are appearing in court this Thursday before the Bordeaux Criminal Court for "criminal conspiracy" and failure to fulfill their parental obligations. The justice system suspects them of having planned the sacrifice of their 5-year-old son in Morocco, whom they believed to be "possessed".
The facts date back to December 21, 2023, when the couple was arrested by the Spanish police in Algeciras, about to board a boat for Morocco. Originally from Carcans (Gironde), they had left their home, which they had sublet, five days earlier.
The investigation had been triggered by the report of a relative, worried about the father’s remarks. He would have confided to her his intention to "sacrifice" his son in the Sahara.
In response, the defense, which pleads for acquittal, disputes this version. The father’s lawyer assures that he "never had the intention to harm his son in any way" and that there is "no element characterizing criminal conspiracy". The mother’s lawyer mentions a simple project of a trip to Morocco, a country that the couple, described as "fusional" and "anti-system", appreciated.
The child’s lawyer, for her part, argues that the child’s psychological security has been compromised by "indoctrination". She reports that the child spoke of the need "to be cold, afraid, to remove the snake that is in us". Now entrusted to his maternal grandparents, who are helping him "deconstruct all these ideas", the civil party will request a conviction for the "certain moral prejudice" suffered by the child.
