Mosque in Southern France Targeted by Multiple Vandalism Attacks

In less than two weeks, the mosque in the town of Saint-Juéry, near Albi (Tarn), has been vandalized three times.
Last week, the glass door of the mosque was damaged by stones thrown against the facade in the middle of the night. The car of Mohamed Chaoui, vice-president of the Franco-Moroccan Union of Albigeois, responsible for this place, was also vandalized, reports La Dépêche.
The mosque in Saint-Juéry has been the target of Islamophobic acts on several occasions. In January 2015, shots had been fired on the facade of the building, a few days after the attack on Charlie Hebdo.
This time, the mosque leaders have filed a complaint which required the opening of an investigation to identify the aggressors. Mohamed Chaoui simply hopes that "things will calm down".
