Mosque Opens Doors to Homeless During Cold Snap, Offering Shelter and Meals

For a few days now, the mosque of Mantes-la-Ville has been welcoming the homeless without distinction of religion in this period of severe cold. It also offers them hot meals.
"In these days of severe cold, we are keeping the mosque open to welcome our fellow citizens without shelter. Our carpeted and heated prayer rooms are made available to provide a little comfort to anyone without housing solution. A hot meal will also be offered as well as the necessary to take a shower," the management association of the Mantes-la-Ville mosque announced on social media.
The mosque has welcomed four men and three women, including one accompanied by her two children, on the night of this announcement. "Let’s open our mosques, let’s open our hearts: let’s all be united in solidarity!" the association launched.
