Morocco’s Young Lions Roar into U20 World Cup Final, Igniting Nationwide Celebration

At the final whistle of Uruguayan referee Gustavo Teixeira who officiated the Morocco-France semi-final, many Moroccan supporters took to the streets of the kingdom to express their joy after the unprecedented victory of the Atlas Lions who dream of bringing the cup back to the country, as confirmed by the coach, Mohammed Ouahbi.

In several cities of the kingdom like Rabat, hundreds of motorists stormed the main arteries, public spaces and squares, honking, shouting with joy and singing patriotic songs following the historic qualification of the Moroccan team for the final of the U20 World Cup.

With Moroccan flags in hand, supporters of all ages expressed their joy and pride, saluting the performance of the Atlas Lions, the feat of a talented, patriotic, committed and determined Moroccan youth to contribute to the influence of the kingdom.

"This is a moment we will never forget!" confided a young supporter. The celebration continued late into Wednesday night, where supporters gathered on the Al Barid Square in Rabat continued to chant victory slogans. After their victory over the Bleuets, the Atlas Lions will face Argentina in the final of the U20 World Cup.
