Morocco Women’s National Team Hires New Physical Trainer from French Club

The stay of the physical trainer within AS Nancy Lorraine will have lasted only a year and a half. Cédric Blomme has been called upon to work with the Moroccan women’s national football team.
It is in agreement with Jean-Louis Garcia and Gauthier Ganaye, respectively coach and president of the Nancy club, that Cédric Blomme said goodbye to ASNL. For him, becoming the physical trainer of the Moroccan women’s national team represents a very nice opportunity. "I am being offered a long-term contract while I was out of contract in June. There is a project to be put in place. It’s an exciting challenge. I’ll be in Rabat as of Sunday. My family will join me later," he told L’Est Républicain.
The match that AS Nancy will play will be his last in France. "I’m leaving the ship in motion. Humanly, it will be a bit painful," he admits, "but that’s football." In Morocco, he will find the Frenchman Reynald Pedros who has been leading the women’s team since last November. "We have two beautiful goals ahead of us: the 2022 CAN, organized by Morocco, and a qualification for the 2023 World Cup," said Cédric Blomme, eager to take up his new duties.
