Morocco Simplifies Access to Additional Tourist Allowance with New Digital Guide

There is now a simplified digital guide to access the additional tourist allowance. The Office des Changes (Foreign Exchange Office) provided on Monday the necessary explanations on the operating conditions of the "Additional Tourist Allowance" (DTS) service, through a publication on its website.
Written in accessible language for everyone, the publication of the Office des Changes indicates the functionalities of the DTS service and provides the necessary information on its operating conditions. Thanks to this digital guide, the access conditions become simpler. Thus, to benefit from this additional tourist allowance, you must first have access to the DTS interface of the Office. The interface is accessible on the SMART platform, through the link: https://dts.oc.gov.ma/SGD_IR.
After providing the information concerning the form, you must wait for the validation of the request and receive a request number before being able to print the receipt by clicking on "print the receipt". After this step, the interested party will have to go to a bank, exchange office, payment institution or other with the receipt and a copy of the identity document for the activation of the right.
Persons holding a document attesting to the payment of income tax, discharged by a Moroccan Administration, have the possibility to go to any exchange point to benefit from the additional tourist allowance. For retirees, the document must attest to the payment of income tax the previous year.
