Morocco to Resume Civil Status Declarations, Signaling End of Lockdown

In a letter addressed to the walis and governors, the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit announced the resumption of the regulatory deadlines relating to civil status declarations in Morocco from June 11 next.
In his message, the minister reiterated his instructions, previously announced, relating to the suspension of the regulatory deadlines linked to the civil status declaration, considering the white period between March 20 and June 10.
June 11 will therefore be the official date for the resumption of the deadlines provided for by the regulatory and legal texts for civil status declarations, which implies the end of confinement for Moroccans.
The Ministry of the Interior had called on citizens not to go to the civil status offices to declare births and deaths until the lifting of the state of health emergency.
