Morocco Reportedly Receives French Caesar Artillery Systems, Video Suggests

Morocco would have received the Caesar guns it had ordered from France. A video seems to confirm this reception.

Caesar guns in Ouarzazate? A video posted on Youtube seems to show a convoy of towed and camouflaged artillery pieces preceded by flashing gendarmerie vehicles, reports Médias24. These would be the Caesar guns that Morocco had ordered from France. Due to the Russian-Ukrainian strike, France had taken part of the Moroccan order to serve Ukraine.

The French self-propelled cannon in service since the late 2000s in the French Armed Forces, the truck equipped with an artillery system (CAESAr) was designed and manufactured by Nexter Systems in Bourges and integrated by Nexter on its site in Roanne, mounted on the rear platform of a truck. This 155mm cannon, 52 calibers long, has been exported to several countries including Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Indonesia, Thailand. It has a range of over 50 km. Its firing capacity is 6-8 rounds/min. The CAESAr is deployed on overseas operations in Afghanistan, Lebanon, Cambodia, Mali, Iraq, Yemen and Ukraine.
