Morocco Repatriates Vulnerable Citizens from France Amid COVID-19 Restrictions

The operation to repatriate Moroccans stranded in France continued on Friday, via flights operated by Royal Air Maroc (RAM). All of this is taking place under the observation of a health and security protocol.
450 Moroccans were repatriated on Friday from Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG-Paris), and from Marseille. The beneficiaries of these humanitarian flights are holders of short-term visas in a situation of vulnerability. As such, there are patients, people who have undergone surgical operations as well as the elderly, not to mention couples with minor children.
In a statement, the Consul General of Morocco in Marseille, Younes Dirhoussi, indicated that this flight took into account the consulates of Marseille and Montpellier. The diplomat welcomed the conditions for the conduct of this repatriation operation.
In addition, other planes took off on Saturday from Paris and another from Bordeaux, with the same number of passengers on board. For the coming days, the repatriation of Moroccans from several cities in France, notably Paris, Marseille and Lyon, will continue.
