Moroccan retirees and disabled people can breathe a sigh of relief. An amendment has been introduced to raise the tax deduction on pensions.
The amendment aims to improve the purchasing power of retirees. Thus, the amendment provides for the increase of the deduction from 55 to 60% for retirement pensions not exceeding 168,000 dirhams per year.
Another amendment introduces the exemption of disability pensions paid to victims or their beneficiaries. The exemption was previously limited to military personnel only.
