Morocco Plans 300-Kilometer Gas Pipeline from Tangier to Casablanca

The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) has just launched a call for tenders for the recruitment of a firm that will be responsible for the studies preceding the implementation of the new 300-kilometer gas pipeline connecting Tangier to Casablanca. These are topographic and parcel surveys.
The services required under this contract will be carried out in two phases divided into two zones. The first phase will cover the area between the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region and the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region (100 kilometers). The second phase concerns the area between the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and the Casablanca-Settat region (200 kilometers).
ONHYM stressed that for each of the two phases, the designated firm will have to choose the optimal route of the area concerned, the topographic survey by drone and draw up a detailed parcel study. It is on the basis of these criteria that the service provider will be designated. The execution time for this study is set at 6 months (two months for phase 1 and four months for phase 2).
