Morocco’s Lionesses Roar Back: High-Stakes Friendly Ignites World Cup Dreams
The Moroccan women’s national team returns to the field this Friday evening for a friendly match. This match marks the beginning of a new preparation phase for a major event to be held on national soil next year. What time and on what channels can you watch the match?
The Atlas Lionesses face Scotland this Friday, October 24 at the Père Jégo Stadium in Casablanca. The kick-off will be at 7:30 pm local time (GMT+1), or 8:30 pm in France. The match should be broadcast live on the Moroccan channel Arryadia.
This match is the first for the players of Jorge Vilda since their defeat in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations last July. Automatically qualified for the next edition of the CAN, which they will host in 2026, Ghizlane Chebbak’s teammates are taking advantage of this international window to fine-tune their preparation.
This gathering is an opportunity for the coach to evaluate new players or to review elements absent during the last CAN.
The reigning two-time African vice-champions will be eager to return to winning ways before their second friendly match of this break, scheduled for next Tuesday against Haiti.
