Morocco Launches Initiative to Boost Engineering and Technical Workforce by 2025

A framework agreement was signed on Tuesday in Rabat to strengthen the training of engineers, middle managers and senior technicians in various industrial sectors.
During the signing of this agreement, the sectoral ministers of the government, alongside the employers’ association and the aeronautical and automotive industrialists, have committed to training high-quality human capital, better meeting the current and future needs of the various sectors of the national economy.
The result of a public-private partnership, this agreement aims to gradually integrate training modules on soft skills, sustainable/decarbonized production and industry 4.0, as well as the involvement of industrialists in improving the training offer of universities, particularly for the automotive and aeronautical sectors.
To this end, the Ministry of Higher Education has committed to mobilizing universities to train engineers, middle managers and senior technicians according to the specific needs expressed by industrialists through the CGEM, AMICA and GIMAS. The objective is to fill the quantitative and qualitative gap in the training of engineers, middle managers and senior technicians, by 2025.
