Morocco Kicks Off 2025 AFCON Qualifiers Against Gabon in Agadir
Morocco faces Gabon this Friday at the Grand Stadium of Agadir, as part of the first round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers, scheduled to be held in Morocco. On which channel and at what time can you follow this match?
The men of Walid Regragui are keen to succeed in their debut and achieve a flawless run during this phase of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers, even though, as the host country of this edition of the continental tournament, they are automatically qualified.
Considered as favorites, the Atlas Lions hope to win the 2025 CAN at home to erase the bad memory of their early and disappointing elimination in the round of 16 of the previous edition of the continental tournament in Côte d’Ivoire, and prove that they deserve their fourth place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
On the other hand, the Gabonese team, led by coach Thierry Mouyouma, intends to defy the odds against Morocco, whose national team is considered one of the best in Africa. The last match between Morocco and Gabon dates back to the 2022 CAN, a match that ended in a draw (2-2).
Morocco will cross swords with Gabon on Friday, September 6 at the Grand Stadium of Agadir. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00 pm (Moroccan time, so 9:00 pm in Europe). The match will be broadcast live on the Moroccan channel Arryadia. On September 10, the Atlas Lions will face Lesotho at the same stadium, as part of the second round of the 2025 CAN qualifiers in Morocco.
