Morocco to Implement Nationwide Health Pass for Public Spaces in September

Like France, Morocco intends to generalize the health pass in public spaces. This generalization will come into effect from September 2021.
A new measure to curb the spread of the coronavirus and its variants in the kingdom. Morocco is preparing to generalize the health pass in public spaces from September. The advisory committee supported by other committees is reflecting on the preparation of a national plan for the gradual lifting of confinement. According to sources, this lifting will gradually replace the obligation to present a health pass in public places, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
The lifting of the restrictive measures in force in Morocco will be done gradually, and this, according to the epidemiological evolution in the different regions of the country. "The restrictive measures will be lifted gradually in the regions that record the highest vaccination rates against Covid-19 and which, at the same time, record an effective reproduction rate between 0 and 0.5 for fourteen days," explain the same sources.
Once generalized, the health pass will be required in sports halls, hammams, cafes, restaurants, shopping centers, universities, vocational training centers, public hospitals, cinemas, theaters, and road, rail and air transport.
