Morocco Halts Air and Sea Travel with France Amid Coronavirus Concerns

In view of the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic in Europe, Morocco is suspending all maritime and air links with France. Until further notice, there will be no passenger transport to and from France.
The Kingdom of Morocco did not make this decision unilaterally. Mohammed VI and Emmanuel Macron consulted on the issue and the measures to be taken to try to contain this pandemic in the higher interest of their respective countries. It is from this consultation that the decision to suspend all links, both in the air and at sea, emerged.
However, this decision does not call into question the good health of the secular bilateral relations between the two countries. The government authorities of the two countries will continue the exchanges during this difficult period that the whole world is going through.
