Morocco Flights from Brussels Airport Await Green Light as COVID-19 Cases Rise

Morocco could soon be among the 120 European and extra-European destinations offered by Brussels-Zaventem airport during the winter season. This situation would be possible as soon as the Moroccan authorities allow it.
"Depending on epidemiological developments," new destinations should join the offer from Brussels this winter, assures the manager of Brussels Airport. For now, the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom is not very reassuring, but it could change in the coming weeks. To date, Morocco still has 207,718 cases of contamination (+3,985 new infections), 171,591 recoveries and 3,506 deaths.
As for this winter season which runs until March 25, 2021, around 40 airlines provide nearly 450 flights per week to 120 destinations from Brussels Airport. This program could allow Morocco to bounce back after a disastrous summer tourist season.
The easing of the new entry conditions into Moroccan territory is also a major asset for its integration into this program. From now on, to enter Morocco, you need a negative PCR test not exceeding 72 hours, a booking at a Moroccan tourist accommodation establishment or an invitation from a Moroccan company. These conditions are also added to a duly completed health form presented upon arrival.
Several strict measures are required by Brussels Airport to prevent coronavirus. In addition to compliance with hygiene rules, social distancing must be respected, a negative test certificate available at the airport, and the wearing of masks. As for airlines, they must use HEPA filters to renew the air every two to three minutes.
