Morocco Faces Mali in U17 Africa Cup of Nations Final Showdown

After a series of successes, the Morocco U17 team plays the final of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations against Mali, this Saturday at the El Bachir stadium in Mohammedia, with the continental title at stake.
Second consecutive final for Morocco. After defeating Ivory Coast (0-0, 4-3 on penalties) in the semi-finals, the Atlas Lion Cubs will face the Mali Eaglets this Saturday. Finalists in the previous edition, they had lost to Senegal. A new opportunity presents itself to them to win the tournament this time. For its part, Mali in the final, having beaten Burkina Faso (0-2), harbors the same ambition. Each team will therefore have to fight to be crowned on Saturday.
Nabil Baha’s protégés can rise to the challenge. They have several assets: technique, progression through passes, long balls and lateral or deep infiltrations, reception, etc. With a flawless journey, they have gained confidence. Their coach is also convinced that: "the moment of coronation has arrived". The objective is "to enter history through the front door and achieve an unprecedented feat for Moroccan football," he specified at a press conference, while acknowledging Mali’s experience in this type of match.
The young Moroccan players can rely on strong popular support, with the public not sparing its encouragement since the kick-off of this U17 AFCON in Morocco.
