Morocco Faces Brazil in Historic Futsal World Cup Quarter-Final Clash

The moment of truth is approaching for the Moroccan futsal team, which is preparing to face Brazil in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Uzbekistan.
After securing their ticket against Iran 4-3, the Atlas Lions now have their sights set on the semi-finals, a stage they have never reached in the history of their participation in this competition. But before that, they will first have to get rid of the Brazilians.
"We played with intelligence and a distinct tactic, at times relying on 6 players to change the style of play, which allowed us to adapt to the scenario of the match. We had prepared for everything we encountered today, and we did not give up despite the difficulties, the circumstances and the absences," said the national coach after the match against Iran.
And he added: "Our next match against Brazil will be a great challenge, but we will approach it with the same determination and will. Our trust in God and in our players is limitless."
Their next opponent, Brazil, is none other than the team that had eliminated them in the quarter-finals of the 2021 Futsal World Cup in Lithuania. But this time, the Moroccans are more than ever determined to take their revenge and write a new page in their history.
The match, which will take place on Sunday, September 29 at 1:30 p.m. Moroccan time, will be held at the Bukhara International Hall. The men of Hicham Dguig are aware of the stakes and are ready to give everything to secure their place in the semi-finals.
And anything seems possible, as other teams, such as Portugal and Spain, previously cited among the favorites for the supreme title, have been eliminated by teams considered much weaker.
