Morocco Extradites French Stabbing Suspect to Face Charges in France

A Frenchman who took refuge in Morocco after committing a crime in France has recently been expelled by the Moroccan authorities.
His name has not been disclosed but according to the local newspaper Sud-Ouest, the man is accused of having stabbed a young man on May 22 in Bilière, a commune in southwestern France. In this case, a first suspect had been arrested a few days later by the police.
Seven months after the events, a second suspect was arrested in Morocco before being extradited to France, according to the same source, who specifies that he is currently in detention at the Pau Prison.
The reasons for this assault, in which a pedestrian had received several knife wounds, including one to the chest, on the Vandenberghe esplanade in Bilière, are not yet known.
