Morocco Eases Building Regulations to Streamline Real Estate Development

Morocco has just updated the texts concerning the compliance of construction plans in cities, to facilitate the life of real estate developers.
Thus, the National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre and Cartography (ANCFCC) has published a document, which will make it possible to regularize the situation of buildings that do not comply with the construction plans.
This review of the texts comes following the difficulties related to the compliance between the actual situation of the property and the construction plans as well as the submission of these properties to the co-ownership system, encountered by some owners and real estate developers, specifies the document.
The signed memorandum will contribute to the search for appropriate solutions to settle this situation, simplify the procedures in force and overcome the difficulties presented in this section, and thus include these properties in the economic cycle, the agency stressed.
The decentralized services are called upon to ensure compliance with the requirements of this memorandum while working on coordination when disseminating the aforementioned requests.
