Morocco Denies Entry to French Singer Slimane Amid COVID-19 Restrictions

Singer Slimane, who in recent weeks has been shuttling between Dubai and Marrakech for the upcoming release of his new album, has been denied entry to Morocco. Vitaa’s accomplice, who was planning to spend the month of Ramadan in the Moroccan fervor, has reported on his Instagram account that he has been banned from entry.
During this Ramadan period, and as a precautionary measure against the many Covid-19 variants circulating, the Moroccan government has taken measures including the closure of borders, the suspension of air links with certain countries, the prohibition of travel between certain cities and the curfew. It is therefore because of these measures that the French singer was denied entry into Moroccan territory.
It is finally in Paris that the young artist has set up his suitcases, waiting for the situation to improve. Morocco has been in a state of health emergency since March. The borders are indeed closed, but trips remain possible with special authorizations and only with certain countries.
