Algerian internet users have published information in recent hours on social media claiming that Morocco would have used the image of the selham, "an Algerian heritage," during a Moroccan cultural event. These publications are false and unfounded.
The selham has always been recognized as an authentic Moroccan garment. It became famous in the 19th century thanks to King Hassan I, who liked to wear it during official ceremonies, recall sources on the Al3omk website
