Morocco wants to dazzle the football world

Never before had an Africa Cup reached such a high level of prestige. Just days before the kickoff, Morocco unveils an unprecedented logistical and television setup that relegates past editions to oblivion. Between exclusive accommodation for each team and production entrusted to foreign experts, the Kingdom wants to dazzle the football world.

The popular enthusiasm already validates this ambitious strategy. The ticket offices are sold out for the first three shocks of the Atlas Lions. Tickets for the matches against the Comoros, Mali and Zambia have been snapped up, guaranteeing an electric atmosphere from the opening match scheduled for next Sunday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah complex in Rabat.

But it is behind the scenes that the real revolution is taking place. For the first time in the history of the competition, the organizing committee has put an end to the cohabitation of the teams. Each selection will have its own hotel and a dedicated training ground. In total, 24 establishments have been requisitioned in the six host cities to offer absolute comfort to the players.

On the screens, the qualitative leap promises to be spectacular. CAF has confirmed the deployment of 40 cameras per match, including aerial "spider cams" to capture every detail from all angles. To orchestrate this visual show, Morocco did not hesitate to recruit international heavyweights, entrusting the production of the Rabat matches to the Frenchman Laurent Lachand.

The celebration will not be limited to the sports venues. For those who could not obtain the precious pass, around fifty fan zones have been set up throughout the Kingdom, ready to welcome the fervor of the supporters from Sunday 8pm.
