Morocco’s Customs Revenue Surpasses 100 Billion Dirhams, Marking Record Performance

Customs revenue in Morocco has just crossed the 100 billion DH mark. Proof of profitability highlighted by quality services.
This performance of the Moroccan customs is to be credited to the competitiveness of its services. These are part of a dynamic of constant improvement, in order to satisfy an ever-growing clientele.
This important link in the national economy recorded, according to L’Observateur, a record performance in 2018, exceeding the symbolic bar of 100 billion DH. An achievement that contrasts sharply with those achieved in previous years.
In total, 100.8 billion dirhams in duties and taxes were collected, an improvement of 6.4% compared to 2017, i.e. a net surplus of 6.1 billion, according to the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII), in its Annual Report for the year 2018.
The officials of this Department under the Ministry of Economy and Finance expressed their satisfaction with the performance achieved, stating that they "benefit the entire national economy". In reality, they contribute "to the presentation of the State Budget as well as by the deduction of certain revenues", notes the same source, which specifies that in terms of allocation, "these revenues are deposited in the Treasury Accounts or certain public institutions".
