Morocco’s Car Market Accelerates: 6% Surge in Passenger Vehicle Clearances for 2024

Some 151,755 passenger cars were cleared in Morocco in 2024, an increase of 6% compared to the previous year, according to the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII).
This increase is the result of the rise recorded in the segments of new cars (+5%) and used cars (+15%), explains the ADII in its 2024 activity report.
The clearance of passenger cars generated revenue of 7.007 billion dirhams (MDH), up 12%. An increase due in particular to the increase in revenue recorded in the segment of new cars, the document specifies.
By regional direction, Casablanca-Settat comes first with 63% of the total of passenger cars cleared in 2024, an increase of 8% compared to 2023. It is followed by the regional direction of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 26% (+6%).
