Morocco Blocks Deportation of Convicted Drug Trafficker from Belgium

A Moroccan convicted in several cases, including one for drug trafficking, could not be expelled by the Belgian authorities at the end of his sentence.
According to several Belgian media, the expulsion of Mustapha Bali would have been refused by Morocco. Sentenced to a 17-year prison term in various drug cases, he was to be expelled to his country of origin, but the Moroccan authorities would not have wanted to issue the necessary documents.
After his release from prison, the man was again sentenced to a three-year prison term in a rape case, the same sources report, according to which it was Theo Francken, former Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration, who had signed his expulsion order.
The Moroccan authorities have not yet officially reacted to this case.
