Morocco Begins Repatriation of 114 Dual Nationals to France and Belgium

The exceptional repatriation of 114 dual nationals, from Nador to their countries of adoption, France and Belgium, is being organized. Royal Air Maroc (RAM) planes have been chartered for the operations.
Under the supervision of the local authorities and the security forces, the first stage of this repatriation operation has started. Four buses headed for Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, in the night from Monday to Tuesday morning. Those transporting the 74 dual nationals to France left from a hotel on the Nador corniche, while those made available to the 40 dual nationals to be repatriated to Belgium left from the bus station, reports Hespress.
Walid Benzriouh, a young man from the Moroccan community living in Lille, who left for a 10-day vacation in Nador in March, says he found himself stuck and confined in his family’s home in Nador after the suspension of air traffic, the closure of the borders of the kingdom and the entry into force of the state of health emergency. His parents, on the other hand, remained in France.
Hakim Rachel, a Brussels resident, says he was surprised by the decision to suspend flights. "We were going to take a short vacation. The conditions were difficult during this period of about 3 months. But no matter! This situation was an opportunity for us to spend our longest period in our country, Morocco, with the members of our family," he recounts.
