In the quarter-finals, the Moroccan team will face the Taifa Stars of Tanzania, a co-host country that finished top of Group B after winning all three of its matches. This match, which promises to be intense, will take place this Friday, August 22, in Dar es Salaam. As defending champions, Tarik Sektioui’s men will try to overcome the Tanzanian team to continue their quest for a third title.

The three co-host countries have qualified for the quarter-finals. By beating Zambia (1-0), Kenya secured a historic qualification. Uganda, on the other hand, managed to hold the formidable South African team (3-3), finishing top of Group C. An unprecedented feat. In Group D, Senegal, the defending champions, booked their ticket after a draw against Sudan (0-0), who also qualified.
