Morocco and Spain Explore Bilingual Education Partnership in Science Curriculum

During a working visit to Morocco, the Spanish Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Pilar Alegría Continente, discussed with her Moroccan counterpart Chakib Benmoussa the possibility of integrating the Arabic and Spanish languages into education.
Pilar Alegría Continente was part of the Spanish delegation present in Rabat as part of the High-Level Morocco-Spain Meeting. During her exchanges with Chakib Benmoussa, the creation of bilingual Spanish sections in the scientific field in certain secondary schools in Morocco was discussed. A working group will be set up to make this cooperation project in the education sector a reality.
According to the Minister of National Education, the idea is to do it gradually, starting at the middle secondary level until extending it to the qualifying secondary level. For her part, the Spanish Minister of Education, Pilar Alegría Continente, stressed that this is an opportunity offered to students to enable them to pursue their higher education in Spain. "With the construction of an educational establishment in Rabat, on land ceded by the Moroccan government, we hope to inaugurate in 2025 the largest Spanish educational establishment abroad," she said.
