Morocco and France Conduct Joint Naval Exercise ’CHEBEC’ Off Toulon Coast

The frigate Sultan Moulay Ismaël is currently carrying out a joint exercise with the French Guépratte off Toulon. The objective: to pool the capabilities of the two navies for effective naval security.
These annual maneuvers are being held as part of the 2021 edition of the Franco-Moroccan exercise "CHEBEC", reports Far Maroc, adding that throughout this week, the two navies will conduct activities on the quay, then carry out a tactical phase at sea.
Specifically, the operations will consist of on-shore safety training, coordinated ship visit maneuvers, aviation maneuvers with the Panther of the Moroccan frigate, coordinated tactical progressions or even artillery fire.
The "CHEBEC" exercise aims to improve operational cooperation between the two navies, act together for security and stability in the Mediterranean and Atlantic.
