Morocco and Belgium Sign Agreement to Boost Youth Entrepreneurship

The signing of an agreement between Morocco and Belgium mobilized last Wednesday in Rabat, Mohamed Yatim, Minister of Employment and Vocational Integration, and Marc Trenteseau, Ambassador of Belgium to Morocco. Entitled "Support for the development of youth entrepreneurship in Morocco", it is a project which aims to encourage young people to become entrepreneurs and ensure greater economic sustainability of the companies created.
This project, which has been the subject of an agreement between the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of Morocco, will focus primarily, in a first step, on four regions, namely Beni Mellal-Khenifra, the Oriental, Fès-Meknès and Draâ-Tafilalet.
Mohamed Yatim, who welcomed this Belgian support, on this occasion, specified that the present collaboration coincides with the development and the beginning of the implementation of the National Employment Promotion Plan (PNPE), adopted by the Government Council in September 2017. Which is characterized, among other things, by a global and integrated approach touching on the economic, financial, budgetary and institutional dimensions and taking into account all the employment deficits and the categories concerned.
For his part, the Belgian diplomat, Marc Trenteseau, particularly emphasized the importance of this project which, according to him, "will promote the employment of young people, particularly in rural areas, and involve them more and encourage them to become autonomous and develop their entrepreneurial skills".
It should be recalled that this project will involve two Belgian and Moroccan agencies, namely the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC) and the Belgian cooperation agency, which will supervise young people, in order to establish a management plan and ensure the sustainability of the best results.
