Morocco’s Amine Harit Responds to Surprise Africa Cup of Nations Snub

The list of 23 Moroccan players selected by national coach Hervé Renard was unveiled yesterday with the notable absence of international Amine Harit, who has just reacted to his exclusion.
In a message posted on his Instagram account, the Moroccan player still took the time to encourage his teammates, wishing them the best for the African competition. "Disappointed not to be part of the final list but I will be your number one supporter my brothers I wish you success inchallah we are all behind I hope you will make us proud," Harit wrote.
The Schalke 04 player seems to be paying for his inconsistency since the beginning of the year within the German club. After being one of the key players last year, he has gradually faded in 2019 and the management has finally decided to sanction him by benching him and aligning him with the reserve team. A serious and humiliating punishment for a professional player.
Nevertheless, the player continues to be appreciated at his true value in many clubs, particularly in France, and he could indeed change championships as early as next season.
In addition to Amine Harit, the absence of Ayoub El Kaabi is also noted, his exile in China and his golden salary seem to have distanced him from the national team.
