Morocco’s Ambassador to Spain Remains in Rabat Amid Diplomatic Tensions

The Moroccan ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaich, recalled for consultations in Rabat since mid-May, will not be returning to her post in Madrid anytime soon.
"Several issues need to be discussed and clarifications provided on the reception of the Polisario Front leader, Brahim Ghali, in a hospital in Logroño, under a false identity," before Benyaich’s return to Madrid, diplomatic sources told the newspaper La Razón.

This attitude of Spain, which considers itself a friendly country to Morocco, has provoked a major diplomatic crisis between the two countries, to which a migratory crisis that occurred in May with the massive arrival of migrants in the city of Ceuta has been added.
