Morocco Accused of Covert Activities in France, Algerian Intelligence Warns

Algeria accuses Morocco of carrying out secret activities with Muslim organizations in order to destabilize France. It is said to have transmitted a report to Paris in this regard.
Algeria is once again making serious accusations against Morocco. The Algerian intelligence services have transmitted a security report to their French counterparts to "warn them against subversive activities carried out by Moroccan lobbies on French territory," reports Maghreb Intelligence. The report indicates that Morocco is secretly working to infiltrate numerous Muslim organizations that it finances, in order to spy on French interests or launch destabilization operations against certain French public institutions.

The Algerian intelligence services also accuse Morocco of using the members of several religious associations as potential spies within French administrations. They claim to have information attesting to the "unhealthy and threatening role in France" of the two largest French Muslim associations close to Morocco, namely the Union of Mosques of France and the National Federation of Muslims of France.
This report is seen as one of the axes of the new Algerian strategy aimed at significantly reducing Morocco’s influence on the French ruling elite, by contributing to the growing cooling of relations between Paris and Rabat.
