Moroccan Teen’s Tragic New Year Suicide Linked to Phone Dispute, Police Investigate

The Kilito neighborhood in Larache was shaken by a tragedy. A fifteen-year-old teenager committed suicide on the first day of the New Year by taking a toxic substance.
At the heart of this drama would be a reason that some would call absurd. Indeed, the relatives of the deceased explained to the elements of the judicial police, who have launched an investigation to clarify the matter, that the teenager could not bear that her mother had deprived her of her mobile phone, indicates Aujourd’hui le Maroc.
But at the current stage of things, nothing is yet clear. The deceased left no writing that explains the motive for this desperate act. Pending shedding light on this case, the victim’s body was evacuated to the morgue to be subjected to an autopsy.
