Moroccan Students Face Vaccine Hurdles for French Health Pass

Tough times for Moroccan students abroad, who have to face difficult conditions to access certain European countries. For example, those who wish to continue their studies in France must "prove" that they have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine approved by France, failing to have received the two doses.
Many of these Moroccan students have only received one dose of the vaccine before leaving Morocco, and had to undergo the confinement imposed by France. Morocco does not issue any document attesting to the injection of the first dose. It is necessary to have the two doses before obtaining the health pass, reports Hespress.
A real ordeal for some students. This is the case of M.B, a student enrolled for a Master’s degree in France. She says that it was a struggle to access French territory. Being able to free themselves from the constraints related to the pandemic remains difficult and constraining, she stressed.
Unable to cope with these hassles, some have decided to postpone all their projects to submit to the confinement imposed by the French authorities. "It was an authority agent at the Charles de Gaulle airport who alerted us to this. He clearly told us that if we had a document attesting to the taking of a first dose of the vaccine, it would have exempted us from the confinement which lasted 10 days, while the courses had already started," says this student who specifies however having received the Pfizer vaccine (recognized in France).
The document attesting to the taking of the first dose of the vaccine remains a necessity, since Moroccan students will have to present it in France, in the hope of receiving a second dose of the vaccine. "We don’t know what to do. It’s a bit of a gamble. If they believe us on our word, we will be able to complete our vaccination process, otherwise we will have to take two more doses, or simply give up, but in this case, we will not have a health pass, which will seriously complicate our life in France, given that more and more services are no longer accessible without this pass," continues the student contacted by Hespres.
Questioned about the difficulties faced by Moroccan students in France, the Ministry of Health has clearly stated that the issuance of the health pass is subject to well-defined rules.
