Moroccan Students Dominate Foreign Enrollment in French Universities, Numbers Double in Decade

France has 43,000 Moroccan students, the largest community of foreign students enrolled in French universities. This workforce continues to grow every year.
The data published last Friday by the French embassy, on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Campus France space in Casablanca, show that in ten years, the number of applications from Moroccan students wishing to pursue their studies in France has doubled, from 12,000 in 2011 to 24,000 in 2021, of which 8,000 are from Casablanca and its region.
Given the strong demand expressed in the Casablanca metropolis, the French authorities have set up a new Campus France Space within the French Institute of Casablanca to welcome the many candidates under the best conditions and to prepare them well for their study project in France. The new building includes a large, bright reception hall, a conference room dedicated to information sessions on studies in France and 15 individual interview booths as well as innovative digital classrooms.
