Moroccan Student Deported from Belgium Despite Valid French Residency Document

A Moroccan student at the French university of Lille 2 was detained on Sunday in a closed center in Caricole de Steenokkerzeel (Flemish region) before being expelled to Morocco.
The Belgian authorities accuse her of having an expired visa since October 2018, reports the Belgian channel RTBF, but this student in political science had in her possession a provisional document for a residence permit valid in France and not Belgium.
This provisional document is a receipt of a card application that allows her to travel in France and move freely in this country without being bothered. The media also indicates that the problem is known to most students and the Moroccan embassy in Belgium but "that only some manage to slip through the cracks".
The young woman, 19 years old, was expelled to Morocco on Monday evening and will be able to take a direct flight back to France.
