Moroccan Star Bounou Set to Extend Al-Hilal Stay with Lucrative Two-Year Deal

Yassine Bounou is said to have given his in-principle agreement to continue his career with Al-Hilal. The Saudi club is reportedly finalizing a new two-season contract, with bonuses and benefits for the Moroccan goalkeeper who has attracted the interest of several clubs during this summer transfer window.
Bounou is expected to stay at Al-Hilal, according to the Saudi daily Al Yaum, which reports that the agent of the Moroccan international has confirmed to the Saudi club’s management the player’s willingness to continue the adventure in the Saudi championship after two satisfactory seasons during which he has fully flourished within the squad. The new two-year contract, with new bonuses and financial benefits, will be finalized in the coming days, we learn.
The Atlas Lion joined Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023 from FC Seville for 21 million euros. Very quickly, Bounou managed to establish himself in his new club. The 34-year-old Moroccan goalkeeper made a sensation during the last 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, where he helped his club defeat Manchester City (4-3) and qualify for the quarter-finals. In 92 matches played with Al-Hilal, Bounou has 36 clean sheets. He has conceded 85 goals since his arrival.
